Pentax launches 12Mp rubber coated Optio M90

Pentax introduces the Optio M90, a new lightweight, entry-level, compact digital camera. Key features include a sophisticated metal rubber coated soft-touch exterior, a high-definition CCD sensor of approximately 12.1 megapixels, a large and easily-viewable 2.7″ LCD monitor, as well as an optical wide-angle 5x zoom (28mm to 140mm in 35mm format). The Optio M90, now only announces in Europe, is also available in two colors, black and burgundy red, and will be available by mid June for £119.99…

BenQ E1260 offers in-camera HDR

Taiwan’s BenQ Corp. has today announced its new BenQ E1260 digital camera, featuring a built-in high dynamic range function. The BenQ E1260 features a 4x optical zoom lens that provides focal lengths from a useful 28mm wide angle to a moderate 112mm telephoto. Behind this sits the E1260’s twelve megapixel CCD image sensor. The E1260 lacks an optical viewfinder, instead opting solely for a 2.7-inch LCD display. ISO sensitivity ranges from ISO 100 to 1,600 by default, and can be expanded to as high as ISO 6,400. Pentax Optio M90: new compact for European market

Pentax Europe Imaging Systems Ltd. has announced a new compact digital camera for that market, the Pentax Optio M90. The Pentax M90 couples a 5x optical zoom lens with a twelve megapixel CCD image sensor in a compact aluminum alloy body. Fujifilm has issued updated firmware for its FinePix HS10 and HS11 digital cameras. Fujifilm FinePix HS10 / HS11 firmware v1.01 includes four changes, all intended to improve image quality. With the previous firmware, the HS10 and HS11 occasionally exhibited pincushion distortion in AE bracketing mode. This has been corrected, as has an issue with reduced detail in some images.
